Week 15: I did all the things

So....remember how I was in Unreal for the past 3 weeks? Well...you see...I got really mad. I won't say what happened after, but the less information you know, the better.

Anyhow, at the end of it all, I did the things! I made the scene!

Here are the renders that I took from my flythrough as well as my flythrough and the group composite! Please enjoy. 😁

I am super proud of my team and everything that we did. I know I was frustrated for most of the semester, but at the end of the day, I am pretty proud of how things turned out.

Week 14: Well, you see...I tried to have a nice post...

Blackboard is my new enemy. That is all I have to say.

Anyhow, this week was a lot of Unreal. Due to the fact that I am teaching myself how to do most of this from scratch, it has not been the most positive experience.

First off came with populating the shelf that I have been avoiding for the past however many weeks. I have sort of hit this weird block on that, but I will be seeking the opinions of my team in order to get some guidance as to where I should go for that one.

The next thing that we have to talk about is the elephant in the room...the other wall. What I have decided is to make a second texture pass of the canvas hangings to add some more of those around (since they were pretty easy) and then to put some more on the other side of the room. Adding one more wall could be simple, but it could also be a rough gig. We will see about that. I might end up having to have a door of sorts, but we will see what happens with that.

The last thing that I did this week was going back to particle effects. I had already made the fireflies and that wasn't too bad, so I thought that I would go after some fire. Boy if I knew that my 18-minute tutorial would have turned into an hour and a half, I probably would have done something else. At the end of the day, I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Until next week, that is all. The next one is it...the big Kahuna. Very exciting and yet, utterly frightening. I am gritting my teeth and buckling down....UGH.
